Colorado-based Jackson Design Build, is set to begin construction on a $1,345,000 house that will participate in the 2016 Parade of Homes. Site prep work is currently underway on this home that will take shape at 1606 South Cook Street in Denver’s Cory-Merrill neighborhood.

Jackson Design Build is the first builder to announce participation in the 2016 Parade of Homes. Colorado-based Nexus Architecture is the firm that designed this house. 1606 South Cook is slated to be ready for move-in in September of 2016 and it is currently available for pre-purchase and custom finishes.

“We’ve already been successful in recruiting several industry sponsors for the home, which we will be announcing in the weeks ahead, all of whom are sharing some of their best and brightest ideas in the design and construction process,” said Dave Jackson, president of Jackson Design Build. “We’re looking forward to providing the public with a glimpse at many of the things that are possible with universal design and accessibility in modern homes.”

The residence will feature:

  • An accessible ready floor plan and features that allow for easy conversion to a fully accessible home.
  • Energy Star certification, to save on energy costs.
  • Indoor Air Plus, for an enhanced clean air environment.

The three-story above ground square footage on the home is 3,877. Included in 1606 South Cook is five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. The property will also feature a 484 square foot detached garage.
