New Ideas Draw a Crowd in Denver

Looking at new and remodeled houses — on Houzz, or HGTV, or even the neighbors’ new kitchens and baths — may soon replace baseball as our national pastime.

The Home Builders Association of Metro Denver’s annual Parade of Homes is happy to let the public indulge that guilty pleasure by inviting them to visit various neighborhoods and communities to look at examples of the best its builders, associates and suppliers have to offer. Custom design-builder David Jackson, Centennial, Colorado, had participated in such events before, but his most recent entry, the new Idea home, became much more than just a stop on a tour.
